Evidence-based medicine and diagnostic reasoning devoted to your case. Physician, Professor of Internal Medicine and Clinical Preceptor in Internal Medicine and Urgent and Emergency Care at the Federal University of Santa Catarina.
Medicine is not just technique and knowledge. It is daily effort, empathy, humanity and constant learning.
Hello! My name is Emanuel and I was born in Curitiba, Brazil. I am a mechanical technician from IFPR, a physician from UFSC, and I hold a postgraduate degree in Urgent and Emergency Medicine from Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein.
Today I am a public servant at the UFSC School of Medicine in Araranguá, where I work as technical-administrative staff (TAE), Professor of Internal Medicine and Clinical Preceptor in Internal Medicine and Urgent and Emergency Care.
My professional dream has always been to teach. I love to study, I love to teach, and I believe that by teaching Medicine and helping to train good professionals I can reach many people. Education has a ripple effect: if I can positively influence one student, and that student in turn influences other professionals or cares for people in an ethical, humane and correct way every day, my work will be done.
I study. Every day.
Even after graduating and with an established career, learning cannot stop. That is how I stay up to date, reduce the chance of errors and commit to doing good work.
But without a doubt, the title I love most is father. It is what inspires me, every day, to try to be a better professional.

The first months after graduation bring decisions that medical school does not teach: where to work, how to organize your routine, how to handle your first cases without the supervision you had before. In the mentorship, you have a physician by your side at this start, with a guidance meeting, a career management meeting and, if you wish, discussion of your clinical cases during your first month of practice.
Where to work, how to organize your routine and how to handle your first patients.
Guidance on registering a business (CNPJ), choosing an accountant, insurance, income tax and more.
1 to 4 90-minute sessions during your first month of practice to discuss your cases.
Professor of Internal Medicine
Clinical preceptor in Internal Medicine and Urgent and Emergency Care
The mentorship is professional guidance between physicians. It is not patient care and does not guarantee results. Clinical cases are discussed without any data that could identify patients.
